I have been reading to kind of prepare for our double blessing, and found something interesting. I wonder if it's true or if it's one of many pregnancy myths....

Do boy babies have a slower heart rate than girl babies? At every u/s baby B's heart rate is just a bit slower than baby A's. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I'm wondering if anyone else has read this or if it was true in you pregnancy.

My little boy def had a slower heart rate. His was usually around 130-140 BPM. I have 2 friends who also found this to be true. I asked a nurse about it one day and she said that in adults this was found to be true. So it might mean something but babies do funny things. Take it with a grain of salt.

For me I knew I was having a boy from the beginning, with 2 that might be harder to determine. But I hope it works out for you!

they do say that, however i'm not sure a bit slower qualifies.

i'm having 2 girls and one of my girls' heartbeats is always just a bit slower than the other's.

Not having twins but I am having a boy and his hb was always above 160 and got all the way to 180ish. At my a/s it was back down to 165 or so but I heard that boys have hb's below 140 I think so I just don't buy into it.

I think this can be true, but not always, so it's kind of an OWT and not really a reliable predictor of anything.

Ours have always been high and the same, but we are having one of each.

Our girls had heartbeats of 150 and 153 at 20 weeks. This is about where they typically fall at our appointments. Our OB said it definitely sounded like 2 girls in her experience.
