Well here I am at cd1 and I'm looking at it as a positive in at least I'm ovulating and my cycles are regulating on the metformin.......
I've only been on the metformin for 3 months so we haven't moved on to further treatment that requires monitoring just yet so I'm trying to figure out my plan of action for this month as far as timed intercourse.
Also question about checking cervical position...I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or knows if cervical position is a reliable fertility sign in women with PCOS.
Thanks!
Re: CD1 as a good thing? and question about CP
Sorry it's cd1 for you but glad the met is helping your cycle regulate! So few women I know with PCOS can ovulate on met alone. I personally am not dealing with PCOS so I can't tell you if cervical positioning is altered by it but back when I was first TTC I check and the position was hard to tell but hard or soft was easy. That plus BBT and CM was the main ways I figured out my cycle through charting.
*note: how sad is it that I've been on 3T for so long I forgot cp also stands for cervical position. I was trying to figure out if you had a chemical pregnancy!
Good luck!

Me too!
As for PCOS affecting "CP" I can't imagine it having any impact. That being said most of the ladies on this board are so past the point of monitoring things like that that I can't even remember what you're supposed to be looking for.
I wish you the best of luck and congrats on the Met helping with your cycles! It hasn't done much for mine after taking it for a year.
After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure
No heartbeat at 10w6d
FET August 27,2012 = BFP!

That is good news that you are ovulating. I don't have any experience with checking "CP" as my cycles have been so out of whack the last two years (3 AF's a month) that I never even had a shot at charting. Also, I've been on Metformin for almost a year and it did nothing for me in bringing about ovulation. So, I'm definitely happy that it's working for you!
Good luck this cycle!
I have PCOS but I don't really know much about how it effects cervical position... my guess is that it would still be a reliable way to check fertility as long as you have regular cycles and if you're combining it with temps and CM checks. I have such long and irregular cycles that I never really got a chance to use CP as a fertility predictor.
Also just wanted to say how awesome it is that you're responding so well to the Metformin!
