Suggestions for a long car ride...

...my aunt is moving 21 hours away and she has a 7 year old.  I would like to get him something to occupy his time during the car ride, any suggestions for something to keep him entertained?

    portable DVD, books.  Also I have thought about getting work books for the kids.

    My DD takes 11 hours trips to visit family with us.  SHe does good with a portable DVD player, a coloring book, and a notebook to 'practice sentences'.  I would try workbooks of their fav cartoon

    I would say all of this plus a portable DVD player and a Nintendo DS.  21 hours is a long trip and kids that age have short attention spans.

    Oh yea, I forgot about the Nintendo DS. My so really likes his in the car as well.
