Difference between Pampers sizes?

Does anyone know what the difference is between a 1 and a 1-2?

DH and I compared every angle of these suckers, and they look identical.

  • Hmmm I am not sure. I didn't know they had a middle size between 1 and 2. Did you try them on the baby to see if they fit any different?

  • Not much of a difference, but that is what we are using right now. I bought a huge box from diapers.com and am half way through. When its done, I'll just use the twos. I think they are slightly bigger and my DD hasn't peed her way through them which is more than I can say for the last week of the 1's we used.

  • Are you sure you did not just get a box that is split? We have a box that says 1-2 and half of the diapers are size 1 and half are size 2. Did you look on the actual diaper? They have the sizes printed on the front.
  • It was a diaper cake that was given as a gift... they are printed with 1-2 on the actual diaper. And I was wondering if the difference was more padding/protection... maybe that's the difference.
  • I think it's an in between size. They're two big for 1s but still a little too smal for the 2. I typically use this size for overnight, it's just big enough to where DS isn't feeling the wetness and waking up.
