Oops, just cried like a baby in front of my boss

I took a vacation day yesterday because of my m/s. I went to the office today, and my manager pulls me aside and tells me that she is going to decline my vacation day request, and just think of it as comp time (so sweet of her). I said, in light of that I may take a half day today, as I am still not feeling well. She said she was worried about me, that I had circles under my eyes on Monday. I pulled her in a conference room, cause I had started crying, and told her I am pg. I had zero intention of telling her so early, but she was being so nice, I just couldn't help it. I told her that I had talked to my doc and was getting a prescription today, that hopefully it would help with me being so sick. She hugged me, said congrats, and told me to go home for the day. That this is our little secret. It could not have gone better, I am just still shocked that I told her before I told my mom. It is just really hard to function while feeling so very sick.

 I hope everyone has a great day! I am now home on my couch and will try and force myself to eat at some point today. Ugh.

    You're very lucky to have such a great boss.  Don't worry about having told her before your mom.. We see our boss the most during our pregnancy (maybe even more than our hubbies) but it's impossible to hide it when you are feeling this sick.

    At least now you've gotten it out of the way and it will be easier for you to take time off if you are still feeling sick.

    Aaawww that's really sweet of your boss. I can't wait to tell my supervisor (also became a reall good friend of mine)But I haven't told my parents and still waiting for first appointment. My supervisor knows how long we've been trying so she will be so excited. Another friend of mine I also work with is currently pregnant and everyday I see her I want to burst out and just tell her but I have to wait at least for another week.

    Thats awesome!!! My boss' daughter is recently married and she wants grandbabies sooo badly... so she was among one of the first I told because I wanted her to understand if  I was late or wasnt feeling well... so far she has been amazing!!
