I have my appt tomorrow and wanted to double check, I assume it's a on the tummy u/s?

I was glad to hear I don't need to drink extra water for it. Big Smile

Re: 12 week scan question

  • The NT scan, right? Yep, that was a tummy one. Big Smile I too liked not having to not pee for it!

  • It really depends if the baby cooperates  and they can get all the shots they need. I was a minute away from having a transvaginal ultrasound and was so relieved when she said we didn't have to do it anymore!!

  • I had both for all of my u/s until 3rd tri, but that was because of spotting and low-lying placenta.  I never had to have a full bladder for any u/s since leaving the IF clinic.

Caldwell and Keri- Don't you both have them done at the radiology lab on the 2nd floor at Providence?  That's where my OB always sent me.  They never needed me to have a full bladder.  Odd (but lucky)! :-)

  • I never needed a full bladder after leaving the IF clinic either.  By 12 weeks your uterus is up high enough that you don't need your bladder full.  I think for one of my NT scans though I did have the vag one because the baby wasnt cooperating... and the way he was sitting she tried to get a look at the goods for me.  :)

Yup, same place. I didnt do this testing with the boys, so I wasn't sure about the u/s.

Oh, is this your NT scan?  I misunderstood.  They actually had me do that at MFM.
