We are having a little boy and I am in the washing everything phase of nesting. As someone who is a FTM and grew up with all women, I am baffled by some of this boy stuff including the very silly question of what even gets hung up in the closet versus what just gets folded in the drawer. So far I have just hung up two little hoodies because they are hard to fold and the long-sleeve, long-legged sleep onsies because they also fold awkwardly. I think the rest of the onsies and little outfits would just be folded in drawers but then the closet is so empty.
If you are having a little dude, how did your arrange clothing?
Re: what baby boy clothes are you hanging up?
What the others said -
onesies, pjs, and pants are in the dresser, one piece outfits and tops are hung up
I have very little hanging up -- just some of his nicer "outfits" that are mostly in bigger sizes. I have maybe 15 items on hangers right now.
I found that when DS was little, I preferred to have everything folded in drawers. That way, if I needed a quick outfit change while he was already on the changing table, I wouldn't have to pick him up, go to the closet, etc. I liked everything within arm's reach.
Now that he's older, I have a lot more hung up (most of his shirts, all hoodies, jackets, etc), and basically just have shorts and PJs in his drawers.
I hung up everything because I'm lazy and don't want to fold
plus it keeps the wrinkles away.
Of course the little pants and undershirt type onesies are folded up.
