We currently have two dogs, Duke (mastiff & dutch shepard mix) and Turtle (beagle). If you want crazy names lol, my horses all have odd (well, odd to non-horse people!) names, such as Henrys Sugar, Kings Percentage, Tisa Lady and An Edge with Time

Maybe this will change some people's minds about their name choices...I've seen some names that would be totally appropriate for an animal, not a person.
Jax (named her 10 years ago before it was a human name) - jack Russell terrier
Patches was my beloved sheep dog.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Wally and Tori (both girls, in sig). We know Wally is sort of a boy's name, but she looked like a koala bear when we got her, so we shortened "koala" to Wally lol.
The strangest pet name I ever had was a Cairn Terrier (Toto dog) named Balkie. It's pronounced Bow-key. We didn't name him, but my favorite show when I was little was "Perfect Strangers", and the main character's name was Balkie. We have no idea if he was named after that character or not.

So funny. My cousin brought home a kitten for her then 3-year-old and let her name it. The kid couldn't think of anything, so my cousin told her to name it her favorite thing. Thus, the cat's name is Santa Claus Dinosaur.

If I could get a job naming race horses I would be the happiest girl in the world. :-) Though my husband and I have said if we could each get a racehorse we'd give it a strong, relatively uncharacteristic one-name. Mine would be Scheherazade and his would be Galluccio (Ga-lou-chee-o), for my grandfather, who loves him some races...
Inspiration was Casey Stengel -- Casey at the Bat poem (Mighty Casey).
Family dog growing up (male Standard Poodle) was Brandy. It was a nickname for his pedigree name (he was never shown, but from a line of show dogs), which was "Lord Brandon of Quite Nice". LOL
Cats: Mary Jane, McCloud (Lil Mac), Kona, Sassafrass (B!tch Pig), Haggis, Hamlin, Hawk, Hershey, Carl
I've never heard of anyone else with a cat named Sassafrass! Well-done!
LOL... When I saw your cat's name I decided to post. Her rescue name was Tofutti. We changed it to Sassafrass, nn Sassy. As she got older we noticed her tendency to overeat along with her pink nose and the curl that ALWAYS seems to be at the end of her tail, so we started calling her Pig. After a little while longer, we noticed that she does NOT like anyone else up in her business, so we started calling her B!tch Pig. Then, we had a baby, so we call her BP for short now. I'm sure she has one hell of an identity crisis.
I have three dogs currently Billy (dutch shepard), Lakota (dutch shepard) and Nita (english mastiff). Past animals Ringo, Chopper, Tigger, Lucky, Tasha, Shadown, Honey, Snowball (all cats). Chip (german shepard) Max (belgian malinois), Sonya (belgian malinois) Bear Bear (mix). Shanghi Lou Lou (quarter horse) Misty (heinz 57 horse) Bourbon (standard bred), Rusty (quarter horse), Little Bit (horse). There are probably a few I have forgotten over the years. We always had animals growing up.
My family got a dog and two cats when I was 10 (14 years ago) and started a "sweet food" theme. Our dog was Chocolate who passed away last year. The two cats are Oreo and Caramel.
I have a cat, Callie, and a dog, Teddy.

Past cat: Charlotte (a foundling my Mimi brought over. My parents are not cat people. We went to dinner, 'Charlotte ran away,' and my cousin Amanda got a new kitty that looked remarkably like our cat.
Future pets: We're planning to get a couple dogs when Gideon's out of diapers. Right now, the names we want are Barnabas and Moses (Barney and Mo). Although, after watching lots of Jake and the Neverland Pirates with my DS, I'm starting to dig "Sharky" and "Bones."
Past (include pets we had growing up): Cinch (dog), Buster (dog), Scottie (cat), Lucky (rabbit), Pamela (hamster), Lucy (rat), Dakota and Suzy (horses), and the birds Cinco, Sydney, and Matilda.
