This is probably a stupid question but is it alright that I haven't gained any weight in 2.5 weeks? I thought this was the time the pounds would start adding up?
From 26 weeks to now I've gained about 1.5 lbs---but with ultrasounds and fundal measurements the babies are growing better than singletons. As long as your babies are growing at appointments, I'd say its nothing to worry about.
I just don't know if they are. My next appointment isn't til the 29th so they're not aware that I haven't gained any weight. Should I call my OB tomorrow?
from 24-28 weeks I gained a ton of weight - like 8 lbs. after that it has been at a snail's pace. I think I gained 1 lb over the next 4 weeks and it is really tapering off now. As the baby gets bigger, I have less and less of an appetite and even when I am hungry I can't really eat much. Dr. isn't concerned at all. She actually applauded by 1lb weight gain. Call your dr. if you're really concerned but I wouldn't be hugely worried unless you're purposely restricting your diet.
I have had the perfect pregnancy, on top of it all, I lost 12 pounds in the first 4 months. Since then, I have maintained the same weight. I haven't gained a pound, but I am measuring perfect and so is baby! As long as your doctor is not concerned, I would just call it good luck

I would say that as long as your baby is measuring fine, you shouldn't worry about it. I know that I, personally, stopped gaining weight for almost three weeks, and then over the week before my last appointment I gained only two pounds. Everyone is different, but I'd say just ask your doctor about it.
Weight gain will happen when it happens. As long as you're not sick, dieting, or otherwise unable to get proper nutrients, your baby will be fine. I was very concerned about this, and my OB told me that as long as I felt healthy, he wouldn't worry about no weight gain until 36+ weeks. And of course, about a month after I'd asked him that, I started gaining weight. :P
My last 2 appointments (biweekly, so the past month), i have gained .6lbs lol...as pp said, as long as baby is growing, its no cause for alarm if you arent gaining much. Esp if you were/are overweight, they actually reccomend that you dont gain alot during pregnancy (NO OFFENSE to anyone, just stating a fact that may help OP)
I have not gained a lb since 29 weeks. I asked my OB about this and she said as long as the baby is growing, there is nothing to worry about. I had a growth scan at 34 weeks and LO was over 6lbs then, so she is getting what she needs. I am having another growth scan next Mon:)
At my 31 week appt I had lost 2 lbs, so between 29-31 weeks I lost the weight, and my doc was concerned and sent me for a growth scan at 32 weeks. The baby was measuring just fine (but on the smaller side of average). After that scan when I had gained back the two pounds he was okay with that, then I gained a huge 4 lbs in one week the next appointment and nothing the next appointment. I wouldn't worry until you get there and they check. If your measurements are on target it will be fine. Don't stress! It is something to be aware of but I wouldn't work yourself up, just yet!
I haven't gained any weight in over 6 weeks. I actually "lost" three pounds at my last visit and I had to explain it was because I had an early appt and hadn't had the chance to swell up yet that day. My belly is measuring fine and from a growth u/s we did at work he is measuring over the 90th % so it really isn't a problem.
I have not gained so much as an oz in almost 2mo. I lost weight in the 1st tri and am only 4lbs over my pre pregnancy weight. My MW is not at all concerned and I am measuring a week ahead.

I didn't gain weight for about 6 weeks, from week 27-32. Then I gained 3 lbs. in one! I'll admit though, I have been overeating due to work stress...ugh.
Your weight just isn't as important as the baby's weight. I wouldn't worry unless your OB does.
I was really really sick the last few weeks, and lost 5 lbs in 10 days! Yeah, it was bad. I was totally freaked out but we checked on LO yesterday and he is measuring perfect. Baby's manage to get what they need from us!
As of Monday I hadn't gained a single pound in 5 weeks, 5 days. Giving me a total gain of 19 pounds. I couldn't be happier and neither could my doctor. My fundal height is measuring perfectly so all is well.
Be thankful you're not gaining so much weight. As long as baby is growing, that's all that matters!!
Thanks everyone! The only part I'm worried about is that I was 'almost' underweight to begin with and haven't seen my OB since the end of July and won't see him again til the end of this month. I guess as long as LO is still active I'll just wait until the next appointment.
I havent gained anything in the past three weeks...but I feel huge anyway.
Overall I have only gained 8 pounds (plus the 6 I lost in the 1st Tri). That being said, I am ALL baby...everyone has commented that my due date must be wrong becuase I look huge.
I haven't gained an ounce throughout my entire pregnancy. I was a little ahead of the weight schedule before pregnancy anyway but have managed to lose weight the entire time. I am now 36 weeks pregnant and little man weighs 7 lbs! But still no weight gain on my end. Doc says its ok.
I gain weight every other month. So as of my appointment today, in the past 4 weeks I've lost a pound. The month before I gained. The month before that I gained 0. The month before that I gained...
I go in spurts. A couple weeks without gaining and then bam, like 5 lbs in two weeks and then a couple more without gain.
This is me too. This past month I didn't gain any weight until about 2 days before my next appt and then all of the sudden was up 3-4 lbs...of course right before the appt, LOL.
Re: XP: Have any of you NOT gained weight for a few weeks?
// I love you too. //
