i have a question... with disposable diapers you just throw the whole diaper away but with cloth diapers how do you get rid of the poop? you cant just wash it out, how do you get rid of it?
Before they start eating solids, you just throw the diaper in the pail and it washes away. (EBF and EFF poo is totally water soluable). After they start solids, many people use a diaper sprayer to wash off most of the poop before it goes into the pail. When the poo is more solid, you just plop it into the toilet. You can also buy disposable liners to place in the diapers to help with clean up. It's not hard.

This. Before solids, you can sun the stains out from the poo.
sorry i am new at this only 5 weeks pregnant, but what is a diaper sprayer? and where can i get one?
Diaper sprayers connect to the water line of your toilet, and are like a shower sprayer. The Bumgenius sprayer (made by Cotton Babies) is a pretty popular option.

Before you introduce solids, you just throw the whole diaper in the wash. The poo is water soluble and goes into your septic/sewer system.
After introducing solids, there are a host of options, including using flushable liners, dunking/swishing in the toilet, scraping in the toilet, or using a diaper sprayer to rinse the diaper. At some point the poo becomes ploppable and you just dump it in the toilet.
When her stools are a bit soft or peanut buttery in consistency, I have to use our sprayer. It's pretty much like a kitchen sprayer only attached to the toilet. When they're more solid, the poop shakes or drops off.
Technically even with disposables, you're supposed to dump poop into the toilet before disposing of it as well.

You can throw the whole diaper with poop into the washing machine until the poop starts looking different when they start eating solids. I scraped it off with a plastic knife or toilet paper. This was only the case for about a month for us-once she was eating more solids, her poop became ploppable it just slid into the toilet. I started putting LO on the toilet for pooping when she was 6.5 months and have rarely had to change a poopy diaper since.

Google it and you'll see some of your options. You can order off of Amazon or a number of cloth diapering sites.
