I pink puffy heart my orange edge pf's- I *still* use them trifolded in her sized covers and as pocket inserts, even though theyre wayyyyy to small to snappi anymore. I hope they hold another sale so you can get more! (not gonna lie, depending on my wagon status when the next seconds sale happens, I may get some reds or browns just because I like the convenience of pf's as changing table pads!)

Eta- and I've been shopping/CD'ing for almost a year now and they've had two seconds sales, so I'm betting you'll see another one in 3-5 months- plenty of time

I have 10 orange edge and 12 yellow edge. I should get a dozen more of the orange right? I think we'll likely have a small-ish baby.

I would. Others would say the opposite though. It might be hard to predict which type you'll be. I almost exclusively trifolded- I just could'nt be bothered to snappi when the xs covers held the pf in place so well and EBF poo rarely got on the cover. So the oranges were/are my favorites. I ony use my yellows on the changing table right now. Though that may will likely change eventually, once she needs the longer rise of the yellows.

I do/did a faux newspaper fold with them, layed the pf in the cover like I was going to do a newspaper fold with a snappi but instead just closed the cover. That way the back was splayed out to catch more poo and there wasn't any extra bulk over the hips and no fussing with the snappi. One thing that might help, idk if others do this and its one of those duh things which is why I've never seen anyone talk about it, is that I fold the diaper in half as I pull it through the legs so that the low spot in the diaper is in the middle and the outside edges are higher/tighter to the skin. This seemed to create a little extra space in the middle of the pf so the poo was less likely to squish off the edges onto the cover. Ok, enough rambling...

I can't decide between the orange and yellow. I fear that the yellow will just be crazy huge at the beginning, and I figure if the orange only fit for a while I can always use them trifolded in covers or as inserts, burp cloths, etc after that. DH and I both aren't very big and were small at birth, so I *think* we will end up with a small baby... but I guess my tiny body could shock me and pop out a 10 pounder. (Oh please no.)

The yellows are significantly bigger than the oranges. DD was 6.15lbs at birth (down to 6.7) and there is no way I would have used PF's if all I had were yellows. Granted she didn't stay that way, and is now a 14.5 lb chunker, but I still use my oranges. I did try doing the newspaper/bikini folds with my yellows around 2 months, but I just don't like the bulk when they're folded like that. Therefore, yellows are still currently relegated to changing table pad status lol. As another frame of reference, some people talk about using their yellows on their 1 year olds. So yeah, they'd be giant on a NB. If you can afford it I would totally spend another $25 on the oranges and wait on more yellows til you see if you like the size of them .
