We're going to be going to the state fair and renaissance fest soon. We'll bring along the stroller too, but there will be times when my older one will need to rest or my 18mo will prefer to be carried then in the stroller, yet I don't want to actually carry him for too long. He's not too big for his age, only 24-25lbs maybe. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good carrier for this age? Ideally something that folds up small like a moby (which I never tried, can it be used for toddlers?)? TIA
Re: wrap/carrier for 18m old
Thanks to both of you. I'm looking through that BabyWearer site now.
Regarding renting a carrier, what types of stores do that?Which one by you Mrs Day?I forgot I have this one:
I bought it as a gift when it was free plus shipping. Anyone use and like this one? I think it's worth pulling out and trying. But I bet there are better ones out there.
Thanks for the suggestion! I have never used either, only the Bjorn, which won't work for a toddler. I'll look into the Ergo. We plan to have another one, so it'd be used again and would justify the expense.
Ergo's are great we use our's everyday and DD is just shy of 25lbs. The Ergo Sport is the one we have which is great for hot days since it's a lighter weight material than the standard canvas style regular Ergos.
Also as the a pp mentioned check out a ring sling. They are good for quick in's and outs but they do put all the weight on one shoulder so they arent great for all day use, an hour here and there with a todder they are great for though. Sleep Baby Productions makes some great ones that you can often find used on The Babywearer.
That one should work fine. I have something similar and it's helps take some of her weight off of my arms.
If we have a baby #2, we'll be getting an Ergo for sure!
Wow, that is a super helpful link, thank you!!!
