Nap mat or sheet and blanket for daycare?

Jack will be tranitioning to the todler room next week and the week of the 22nd he'll be in there full time. I went to talk to the teacher last night when I picked him up to make sure he didn't need anything additional for that room. Apparently he needs either a nap mat or a sheet and blanket since they take naps on cots.

Which is better? He doesn't use a blanket yet (was using a sleep sack in the winter) and we don't have sheets. I use Clouds and Stars sheets at home which just zip onto a base. So either way I'd have to buy something.

  • Few things,

    1) Your baby can't possibly be old enough for the toddler room. Didn't you *just* have him?

    2) Why did anyone ever tell me about these zip sheets. Do you know how many times I cursed trying to change the damn crib sheets? OMG I would have loved these.

    3) I would send a blanket for him to sleep on if he doesn't use one to cover himself up with.

  • They ROCK! A friend of mine told me about them and I wasn't sure if they were easier than just buying a few sheets and putting those on a few at a time so I ordered a starter set and fell in love the first week he was in his crib. They are so easy to change in the middle of the night and I really wish they made them big enough to fit my bed. Yes, they are more expensive but worth every single penny when you have a sick, wet or pi$$ed off kid.

Dude...this has been the fastest year EVER! I don't want my itty bitty baby back but I wish he'd slow down some. He's so much fun and so easy to bring around and I know that will soon change. DH started calling him 1 year old and I had a mini panic attack.
