No belly measurments?

I realized at my last appt that my Dr isn't/hasn't taken any belly measurments.  The other Drs at the office do (I will get the Dr on call when I deliver so I am meeting them all now) but mine hasn't. I thought she had a special doppler that did it. Don't laugh, they have all kinds of new equipment, right?  Anyone else not get measured?

    My doctor hasn't measured my belly ever.

    I was fluffy even before I got PG so I just figured he couldn't get good measurements because of my extra fluff.

    I don't think I started getting measurements until sometime after 30 weeks.

    I got my first measurement on Wednesday at 28 weeks, 5 days. They'll measure me at every appointment from now on.

    I did not start getting measured until 32/33 weeks, so I think it comes a little later in the pregnancy.

    I was 25 weeks exactly when I first got measured by one of the dr's at my group. I'm pretty sure it probably just depends on the dr and when they choose to start measuring.

    I'm fluffy too so maybe thats it. Or like the op said, maybe we're not far enough? I feel better about my Dr now, though, thanks everyone

    I had one belly measurement two weeks ago never had one prior and havent had one since.  I figure as long as there is a good strong heatbeat and I heard her move everything is okay.  Besides the doctor feels around and that has to be enough to tell him what he needs to know.  I hope your doctors at leas feel your belly for size and length and such.  Good Luck to you.

    My midwife never once measured my belly during my last pregnancy. It's not the most accurate way to measure a baby's size -- they relied on a growth u/s at 32 weeks (not that that's foolproof, but it's more accurate than a tape measure)
