Feel free to answer one or more questions, these where just a few thoughts I have pondered recently.
A. likes to hit his head into my cheast/shoulder and the son of another mom in my group does the same thing to her... why?
I feed A. the same breakfast everyday, banana and oatmeal is there any reason to change it up? He gets different things for dinner and lunch so I think he should be ok for variety.
Can your babies push themselves into a sitting position? A. can sit but only if I put him in that position, then he topples over.
What is your baby's fav toy right now? A. likes this bird house with little rattle birds that go inside.
Re: Random Baby related questions.
griff doesnt bang his head on me so not sure what thats about.
griff always gets rice cereal in the mornings but i try to change up the fruit. i guess as long as you have variety throughout the day and your LO is ok with banana and oatmeal every morning then i dont see a reason to change it either.
griff cannot push himself to a sitting position. i, too, have to sit him up that way. i saw DHs cousins 10 month old put himself into a sitting position so i guess itll happen soon enough.
griff likes his touch and feel books right now. it always shuts him up. and he likes to play with his plastic shapes, especially during bathtime.
A. likes to hit his head into my cheast/shoulder and the son of another mom in my group does the same thing to her... why? I am not sure, but Avery headbangs on everything. He does it to my chest and shoulder too...
I feed A. the same breakfast everyday, banana and oatmeal is there any reason to change it up? He gets different things for dinner and lunch so I think he should be ok for variety. I have given Avery apples, peaches and cinnamon for probably 2 months in a row. I would think if he were sick of it, he'd let me know.
Can your babies push themselves into a sitting position? A. can sit but only if I put him in that position, then he topples over. Yes. He started this at 5.5 months. But he's not the norm, so don't go by that.
What is your baby's fav toy right now? A. likes this bird house with little rattle birds that go inside. He loves to chase a toy tractor on the kitchen floor. He also loves his Leap Frog table. (but I just got that for him...so it's probably not going to be for long.) He prefers exploring the entire house rather than play with his toys.

DS doesn't do this, but kinda hits the chest of whoever is holding him. He bangs his hands really excitedly like that whenever he's excited.

Generally he gets the same-ish thing, bananas and oatmeal too! But sometimes I'll mix it up if I have other fruit on hand. (I make his food).

Nope. He's just getting the hang of of it from a crawling position, but usually can't go quite all the way up to full on sitting. It's more of a "lounging" position, haha.

He like this little bird that is part of a bigger animal set. And this little purple farmer girl that's part of his excersaucer toys. He's so weird. He picks like one or two little plastic toys that are part of a bigger set and always goes right to them if they are in a big pile of things. So funny.

Evie doens't do this, but she beats me frequently

Evie had just plain cereal for breakfast for 2 months. She's been refusing to eat it for the last week, so the DC has been feeding her the breakfast they make for the toddlers. She's been getting something different everyday. I don't have any clue what to feed her tommorow.
Can your babies push themselves into a sitting position? A. can sit but only if I put him in that position, then he topples over.
Evie's been able to do this for about 8 weeks.

We have a blue key that rattles and plays music. "The wheels on the Bus" is her favorite song right now.

B doesn't really bang his head but sometimes he'll shake his head side to side. Like when you shake your head no. I guess he does bang his head sometimes that I think about it when we cuddle him sometimes & he's starting to fall asleep. I don't know if he's trying to find a comfy spot in my arm/armpit area haha

I think as long as your doing different things for lunch & dinner I don't see a need to change his breakfast routine. I mean it wouldn't hurt if you wanted to try but if he enjoys it & is getting variety at other meals seems ok to me
Can your babies push themselves into a sitting position? A. can sit but only if I put him in that position, then he topples over.
not yet. I think he's close though. Like if we have him on his back sometimes he'll start to pull up into a sitting position but make it about halfway & gets stuck. But he doesn't really like to sit either. He can sit by himself but now he's starting to roll over onto his belly & slowly working on crawling. The kid would rather stand over all this though. If we try & get him in a sitting position on the floor to play he have to fight him sometimes because he'll lock his legs & just want to stand

basically anything besides baby toys. Remotes, cellphone, plastic wrappers, boxes, etc. But he does play with his baby toys too. He's not to picky. He enjoys anything really
Anthony doesn't hit his head into me unless he's tired/cranky. Then he mushes & rubs his face into me.
I would change up breakfast b/c there's a lot of other nutrient-rich fruits that LO could benefit from. DS has been eating bananas, apples, peaches, blueberries, pears, mangos, strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon & yesterday, tried a plum.
I don't know what you mean by "push" into a sitting position. DS can go from sitting to crawling, sitting to kneeling by holding onto something & then back to sitting. He can't go from crawling to sitting, or laying to sitting.
His favorite toys right now are these two:
FP Crocodile. You push down on the birds & it rolls while the teeth go chomp chomp, lol
And this remote control robot from thinkgeek.com. The remote is a little flying saucer with one button that makes the robot go & stop. He makes the cutest robot noises & a baby laugh. DS goes absolutely crazy over these 2 toys.
DOOOO it!!
He literally screams & shakes with excitement/anticipation waiting for me to press the birds & send it rolling toward him!! The tail also twists & makes a cranking noise which is an added bonus, lol
And apparently it makes a good napping buddy
