A medical administrative position has come up here and I'm trying to decide whether I should apply for it or not. It's full time hours 24-36 hours a week.
Getting daycare should be no problem, however we really don't "need" the money, it would go for extra stuff like eating out, saving for vacations, etc... And I had initially planned on staying home with DD till next school year so that I could just have another year of quality time with her like I did with the boys.
We also don't have our other shipment yet, there's still painting to do, and really we're just not transitioned into the community here yet. I just don't think I'd have the time or energy to do everything if I started working full time.
However at the same time, if a year from now when I start looking, I don't want to kick myself if there's nothing out there in my field and I have to end up working at a donut shop sorta thing.
Ugh!!!!
Re: Don't know what to do -work or not work
Personally I would do it. But I work 36 hrs a week and I'm part time (scheduled for 24 but always pick up extra for a variety of reasons). I feel like if I didn't *have* to work, I'd be more inclined to just work part time around 24 hrs just for extra spending money and if I didn't like it or wasn't happy then I'd quit and find something else or worry about it later.

Definitely this. At least put in for it and keep the door open. You can back out at anytime but you can't jump in after they stop accepting applications!
I wish I had your problems. I've been unemployed since February and we actually need the money, like desperately and I can't find anything that pays a women with 15 years experience more than $9/hr.
Good luck with your dilemma

Just apply for it and see what happens, if you get the job and don't like it you can quit.
Like ShellShocked said, that's a good dilemna to have. Especially in this economy.
