The lack of sleep is starting to wear on me. I forgot the breast shields for my pump today at home (I'm at work). Any ideas how I might improvise something? I have the collection bottles- and unfortunately going home is not an option ![]()
any suggestions?
Re: Forgot Breastshields for pump at home
Oh no! I know this is going to happen to me one day. There are just too many things to remember in the morning!
If I were you, I'd run to Target or BRU on my lunch break, or ask to leave early. If neither of those are an option, definitely hand express to get some relief! GL!

Hand expressing is really not that bad and will help relieve any engorgement.
It's basically a rolling motion on your areolas- similar to milking a cow but without the pulling.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I had this happen while pumping and had to run to Babies R Us to get a second set of everything. After that I just kept an extra set in my car in case I forgot to pump. It stinks paying the extra money for the extra set but I figure it was still cheaper than formula.
I used to have an extra set at work for times like these, but the cleaning people threw it out one day (gah!)
I live close enough to home, though, that if it happens again (it has happened before), I'd run back.
