First Underwear Recs

So I'm really hoping to do this PTing thing in the next month or so (I just need a free weekend!)....what are some good underwear for the LOs? I saw some at Target and Carters, but to me they seemed on the expensive side. Just wondering if one brand is better than another.

    Yeah, I have no idea why little kids' underwear are so expensive!  Especially when you need so many pairs!  I have had good luck finding the exact same underwear at Big Lots for a third the price as Target or Walmart.  Tyler has a thing where he ONLY will wear Spiderman underwear, so who ever makes those.  Hanes I think.  Brianna's underwear are all Dora, we remind her not to get Dora wet or dirty.  I did try some training underwear but they were a big fail.  They were heavy so I think the kids felt like they were still wearing a diaper, but they did NOT hold any sort of pee.

    Weird question - is the boy underwear open in the front like men's, or are they the same as girls with just boy colors and prints?

    DD wanted the Thomas underwear last time we were at the store, but I didn't have time to really look at them.

    Yes, they open in the front like mens.  But so what, I doubt she would even notice that they open.

    LOL worthy side note.  Brianna does think she can stand and pee like Ty.  It doesn't go well and she doesn't get why she can't do it!

    We always just bought whatever character underwear DD wanted, as part of the incentive of her being interested.

    Recently I bought Walmart brand "Faded Glory" underwear and they are surprisingly nice!  Like thicker material, nice patterns, etc.

    Not to be TMI, but DD wasn't wiping #2 very well, so we switched to wet wipes for her, and even then she still has ruined a couple pair of underwear.  I used oxyclean on a few pair but some of the stains were pretty gross!  I've thrown out quite a few pair.. so just prepare yourself .. it can happen :P

    We have undies from everywhere!  Carters (I like these), Gymboree (I pick them out of the sale bins), Target, Osh Kosh and my mom bought some at Bon Ton.  There haven't been any that Eva won't wear except the Sesame Street ones- not sure where they were from but the leg holes were a little too snug.

    Family Dollar and Dollar General typically have the character ones a bit cheaper.  I did end up switching to plain white Hanes or Fruit of the Loom once he was trained because I'm cheap.  :)
