Making your own baby food-dumb Q re. peas

So this is a really stupid question, but for those of you who make your own baby food, how do you buys peas? I never eat them (can't stand them), but I'm hoping DS will like them. I've never noticed them in the produce section of the grocery store (but then again I never looked). Do they come in pods? Should I just use frozen peas? Aren't they supposedly just as good as fresh?

I use frozen. It's supposedly just as healthy as fresh.

Frozen. They're fresher than fresh since they're frozen almost immediately after they're picked.

Frozen - but look for ones that don't list salt as an ingredient.

I used frozen, but they were a btch to make. The skins wouldn't break down in my food processor so I had to use a fine mesh strainer. I now buy peas in a jar.
