I would go for option B. I had a very nice wedding but looking back on it, I would have rather taken some of the money and used towards "real life" stuff. I think the whole wedding industry in general is totally out of hand. I enjoyed my wedding but was no where near a bridezilla and looking back on it, I feel like most of the day was more for our parents than it was for us.

EASY...B I'm not engaged in any way, shape, or form, but we've recently asked my Dad if he'd be willing to help us out in buying a house in lieu of a wedding. I know everyone's circumstance is different, but at this point, it's an easy decision.
obviously B...because it still leaves open the option of spending some of it on the wedding. I think you need to ask again with something like -- $20K on the wedding or $10K to spend as you see fit?
My wedding cost at least $20K so with that (10K vs 20K) choice I probably would have said spend it on the wedding. But looking back of course, even though I loved our wedding, I think, "what's the point?"
B cause i only had a tiny ceremony at home. i didnt want a big wedding and wanted to save all my money to buy things that i really wanted. if i had to go back, id do it all the same way again.
B But it would very hard not to spend it all on the wedding.
This. I actually did have that very choice -- my parents offered to either give us the money they'd saved for the wedding, or spend it on the wedding. We chose the latter, but if I could go back and do it again, I'd have a simple ceremony (maybe a destination wedding sort of thing) and keep the rest of the $$$.
