Need advice on whether to go in to see midwife or not (kind of long)

Hi! So a little background first...At around 17 weeks I started having contractions that were 2 min apart that lasted several hours before they went away (not painful ones but really uncomfortable), I had an appointment coming up so I didn't call and they told me that I should have called or gone to L&D. Then, at 24 weeks, the same thing happened again except this time I also had back pain. I was able to get it under control after several hours so I didn't go to L&D but went to the midwife the next day. She didn't check me, just said, this is normal, no worries since I got it under control. This past Tuesday (25 w 2 d), I had contrax again, this time 5 min apart for about an hour and then 10 min apart for the next couple of hours. I called, they said to get off my feet the remainder of the day. Then yesterday I am not sure if I was having contrax or not but my abdomen was hard all day, I had back pain on and off, and I just felt bad all over. I called, they said, off my feet and then they scheduled me for a fetal fibronectin test this morning. But, they also said that if I felt fine today, I could cancel the appointment. So, today I feel fine. Should I cancel? I hate to go in and waste my time for them to say "its normal" but I am also really frustrated that this keeps happening over and over again. However, I'm not sure anything they do or tell me today will change that.

So, looking for other opinions...would you keep the appointment if you were me or cancel it (since that is what they said to do if I felt fine)?

 Thanks!
