my second FET question: medicated or unmedicated?

I don't have my consult for another week and a half, so i'm just information gathering at this point.

Those with FET success--did you do medicated or unmedicated?

diagnosed with stage IV endo via lap surgery IVF #1 - 27 eggs! 14 fertilized (3 natural, 11 ICSI) 5dt of A embryo, froze 6 BFP on 9/28! Baby K born via surprise c-section after 15 hrs of labor and he is perfect!! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    medicated....as I do not have normal cycles on my own so unmedicated wouldn't really work so well.

    Our medicated FET in 2010 did not work....but medicated FET's work for many people.  We chose to do a totally natural FET this year which resulted in a BFP ( no meds at all..no PIO , nothing.  I think if you ovulate on your own and produce a nice lining on your own and your doc is ok with it based on your history, I would recommend it.  It was soooo much easier and less stressful.  At our clinic our RE said the success rates were about the same with medicated vs. non-medicated.  I know that some online research says that controlled FET's may have higher success rates..

    Severe MFI resulting in IVF/ICSI #1 in Nov 2007. BFP!!
    Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
    2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p :(
    Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.

    Medicated but i don't make a good even lining on my own (thanks to PCOS). However i only did Estrace and PIO.

    We did medicated due to irregular cycles.

    Hi there, we did an unmedicated FET but we did have to use Progesterone after transfer.  It was very easy.  I have regular cycles and used OPK's to find out when I was O'ing.  Good luck!

    not to sound like a weirdo, but i remember you from back in the day when we both had our firsts! :)
