Possible big baby again

I just got back from my 30 week U/S and my DD at this point weighs about 4 lbs 6 oz. My other DD at 32 weeks weighed roughly 4 lb 5 oz. Holy cow at this rate she is going to be in 3 month clothes at birth LOL. I am concerned and I am being monitored every month with U/S since my first DD had shoulder dystocia. Just wanted to share I don't post often but live to read everyones post!!

So how big was your DD when she was born? I was measuring 3lbs 10oz at our 30 week and trying to guess the weight of the baby when he gets here!

Yeah, I'm worried about this too but likely won't have any other u/s's (I had a lot with DS because he has a spot on his left kidney that was concerning). DS was 10 lbs and measured on track...they guessed between 8 and 9 lbs. DS #2 had been measuring at least a week ahead up until my 20 week u/s. Who knows how big he'll be. 11 lbs...12lbs?!??!?!? It's pretty sad that I'm just hoping to have another 10 lb baby, LOL.

ETA: DS never wore newborn clothes or newborn diapers. He went straight to 0-3/3mo and size 1's:o)

Even if your 2nd LO is the same size or bigger, that doesn't mean they will also have shoulder dystocia. My 1st DD was 9lbs 10oz and ended up only with a bump on her noggin from the vacuum suction they needed to use to help me get her out. So, think positive thoughts. I'm sure that your 2nd LO will be just fine, don't let the size scare you. Your first child has paved the way and let's hope that will make birthing another LO a piece of cake! Smile

What does your doctor say about this and your options? I also had a 10.5 lber by c/s and am anticipating another big baby. Shoulder Dystocia really scares me, so I am most likely going to have a RCS. It's a very personal decision. Hopefully you feel like you have better info as you lead up to your due date. GL!

My first son was 9 pounds 9oz at 41 weeks. Took nearly 3 hours to push him out. This guy is competing in size w/ his brother. U/S has 33 weeks showed 5 pounds and at 36 weeks estimated at 7 pounds 9 oz. My doctor surprised me yesterday buy saying she was willing to induce me between 39-40 weeks. I want an induction b/c with my first son I had nerve damage in my leg that took me a year to heal from. I could not even carry him until I was 3 months post-partum. It is a rare injury, but there is no way I want that to happen again.

well my doctors aren't saying much yet but I know the conversation is coming soon. I am just waiting for it. I go to my regular ob and the MFM as well he is the one who has done the u/s the whole time but they are also monitoring my blood pressure as with my DS and DD it was all crazy. I am now on meds for B/P so that is under control so to speak. My DS was 8 lb 9 oz 2 weeks early almsot 18 years ago and my first DD as you saw above was 3 weeks early and weighed 8lb 12.8 oz. 3 1/2 years ago .My dad weighed 13 lb 14 oz so we make them big lol too big LOL!! My mfm seems to think I will be fine if they keep monitoring me and the baby looks healthy so they are okay with it all right now I go back in a month to see how big she is at that point. I will be 34 weeks so she could be huge !! We will see they mentioned C/S but I'm not 100 % on board all my others were vaginal and the thought of surgery freaks me out. I know people do it every day but it makes me nervous. If it had to happen then I will be okay with it but i dont want to schedule one if i dont have too.
