Does anyone have any recommendations for someone that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I would love to do newborn photos but don't really want to spend more that about $300. TIA.

I wish I did - we had such an awesome woman come to our house, she was so patient and ended up staying for about 3 hours while I fed Charlotte and settled her down. Unfortunately she has since moved to Slovakia which wad kind of a bummer because we loved her and she charged us about $120 which I thought was very reasonable. But I know some of the ladies on here have used different people in the Rochester area.
We used Trammel, they are in Victor. The pics are beyond beautiful, but very very expensive. I know several people who have used EIEIO photography and loved them, so I think we may do that for baby 2.

Here too. If you can stick to their itty bitty giggle thing it is a good deal, but it is high pressure sales which I fell for and we ended up spending way more than we wanted. Although, I have gorgeous photos and in that sense it was worth it.
Here is the last (I believe) discussion about Roc photographers if you want to see what some people have used.
https://www.rachelannphotography.com/ for dd's 2 yr old photos and am leaning on using her for baby #2's newborn photos, but will probably do some of the smaller (like 3 month and 9 month sessions) with Lisa Ruth photo as long as I have a good maternity session.
My sister is Chelse of EIEIO Photography (she takes all of stella's portraits obviously). Her website is: www.eieiophotography.com she takes gorgeous newborn photos along with family portraits, weddings, etc.
I have 2 photographer friends here in Rochester and both do newborn photos. One is photerica.com and the other is imagesunveiled.com. They both do amazing work for not that much money, though I think photerica is cheaper.

I have plans to use both of these 2 photographers in the next 6 months or so:
