I feel like a pig!

Since becoming pregnant, I can not stop eating!  It was not like this with my first pregnancy.  I am insanely hungry.  I've already gained EIGHT pounds!  I know women usually have more of an appetite when they're pregnanct, but I serioiusly want to eat non-stop.

What are you ladies doing to combat this?  Or are you just eating 24/7 like me?

Re: I feel like a pig!

  • I'm sitting here wondering if I can make it to 5:00 so I can leave and go get a veggie burger from Burger King on the way home. I've picked all the almonds out of my trail mix and am trying so hard not to hit the snack machine. A veggie burger is at least somewhat healthy. SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!

  • HAHAHA  I was totally thinking that same thing 45 min ago while I was driving down the road eating 2 roast beef and cheddar sandwiches from Arby's.  :)  I am just eating.  I try to not eat as much and just get full enough but then I'm hungry again.  HOwever I've only gained about 2 lbs so I'm going with it.
  • I'm having one of those days today!  I originally thought my doctor was crazy when she told me how much she wanted me to eat, but now some days it doesn't feel like enough!

I don't think it's anything to worry about, though, if you're making healthy choices.

  • I have gained about 6/7 (Im afraid to look but have a doctor appt tomorrow) and I am enjoying eating. The problem is I love treats and tend to snack on them (ice cream, rice krispie treats etc...) but also enjoy fruit as opposed to veggies. I am hoping that once I am over the ms and can stop taking my visatril things will settle down back to the normal eating routine.

Now I am craving rice krispie treats! I'll have DH pick me up some on his way home! :D

I am the same way! I was totally not like this with my first pregnancy. I go to the doc tomorrow so I am interested to see how much I have gained. I'm trying to snack healthy but sometimes it gets the better of me.

  • Starving ALL the time!! No matter how much I eat, I am still hungry. I try to fill up on water but that doesnt work. People tell me to eat when I have to this first trimester and my appetite should even out soon. I hope so cuz this is just crazy!!

  • I am glad to hear someone else has gained about as much weight as I have. I have been super hungry. My mom told me that is normal because your stomach is getting squished. Knowing that, I just try to ignore it and drink a lot of water and juice. HA HAHA HAHAHA! yeah.

  • I am hungry all the time!  Usually I'm good about it, and I eat small portions often, and healthy foods.  Today I've eating nutella on toast, candy, and cereal all day long.  Ugh - I don't even feel good anymore.   I can't wait to go home and eat a real dinner - I'm hoping stopping the junk will help!
