I am just over 20 weeks and have just a bit of a rounded bump. It's much less apparent if I am sitting down and before I eat. I am tall-5'9 and somewhat thin-my pre pregnancy weight was 140. I guess I always thought by 20 weeks I would be super pregnant but that is obviously not the case. Maybe I am just naive. I had my a/s last week so I know the baby is fine-it was measuring 10oz at 19 weeks.
Anyone else surprised at how little they are showing by the half way point?
Re: Anyone else surprised at how little they are showing?
I'm kind of surprised because I got big fast but I feel like I havent changed in size in the last month and a half-- baby is definitely growing and is actually measuring a week ahead (15 oz at 20 weeks exactly) and I finally started gaining weight so I'm not too sure where its all going
I'll probably wake up one day and all the baby growth and weight gain will have come out of nowhere lol
I'm pretty small yet. I'm getting pretty irritated when people ask me: "are you sure you're that far along??"
Yes, you idiot, I'm sure.
At my a/s last week I was measuring right on track (20w2d) and baby already weighed 14oz. So I know everything is good, I'm just not showing much yet.
I've only gained 1lb, and it's all baby at this point. I'm 5'9" and started at 135lbs, then lost 12 due to m/s and I have a longer torso, so baby has a lot of room to hide I guess.
People are STILL telling me I don't look pregnant, even though I clearly have a baby belly! I have a picture, but don't know how to insert lol.
I even asked the doctor at my 20 week visit, she said I am perfectly fine, he's growing right on track and my uterus is fine!
Yep. This is my second, and I expected to grow faster this time. I actually do think my belly has grow a little faster, but I am still wearing (some of) my regular clothes, and can hide my pregnancy easily. Just had a meeting with a client yesterday wearing regular clothes, and I'm positive that he didn't have the slightest suspicion that I'm pregnant. And I can fit into some tiny pants that I grew out of super quick last time. I think my hips may have grow more last time.
I'm super long waisted. I think the baby just has a lot of room to hide.
I was freaking out last week, because I am 19 weeks with twins, and almost no bump, and then a few people commented on it and I was even more concerned, so i asked my doctor if they were growing well and all, and he said yes so that all that matters
Like you i am tall too, 5'10'' so we hide better/have a bigger oven

I'm not showing anywhere close to what I thought I would be at this time either. I'm also tall (5'7") and believe it's because there is more room for baby to go verse someone smaller. My a/s scanned showed the baby right on track (slight bigger) and I've gained 13 lbs, again right on track. At first I was concerned but I'm acutally happy hoping I won't be super sized in the 9th month.
