I hate insensitive people
Can I just say that I cannot stand it when people say this:
"You don't understand because you don't have kids, once you have kids of your own you'll 'get it'"
This has been said to me several times by SO's family in reference to his kid that we see every other weekend, whom I basically 100% care for when he's with us. I just feel like saying, it's thanks to me that he even sees this kid, so you're welcome, and I have a better understanding of children than plenty of non-deserving people that have them. Plus, both of his parents screwed up with him, both my SO and his BM, so it's not as if they know everything about raising a kid as a result of having one. I also went to college for early child psychology, so hellooooo! Yeah, that only lasted a few years and then I switched my major to photography, but I learned plenty during that time.
That is just such an ignorant thing to say to someone! First of all, it's not as if it's by choice that I don't have a baby. Second, there are plenty of sh*tty parents out there, so obviously the maternal gene does not always switch on just because someone has a kid.
It kills me how people such as the ones on this forum would make great parents and are trying so hard and going through so much to have a baby, and crappy parents are multiplying like effing rabbits.
Ugh! It's one of those pissed off baby blues days.

And it's not even just that stuff that makes me angry...it's the aire that some new parents get when all of a sudden they know everything because they've been parents for like 2 minutes. That makes me want to throw furniture through a closed window...
You're a good person to take such good care of SO's child. You deserve to be a mommy.
This is so true!! Omg that's so funny that you said that. A former friend of mine had a baby in February and when I went over to visit, Iwe were talking about the challenges with breast feeding and stuff and I was telling her that my cousin who breast feeds recommends this, and she got this huge attitude, saying that her method and schedule or whatever is the best and she thinks everyone should do it that way, yadda yadda. I wanted to smack her! Needless to say, we aren't really friends anymore. I did her baby pictures and I pretty much said see ya after that. Gag gag.

I understand the baby blues days...having one myself. I hope this gets better for all of us...my 7 week pregnant good friend just emailed me asking how my appointment went...so I told her and held nothing back. I'm excited for her, I just want to be successful too....
I hope you and the SO are doing better...I saw your stories from last week...I'm sorry you are having so much extra drama...
Ugh.. People can say the WORST things!! It takes everything in me not to say something like.. And you are stupid, and maybe when you have a brain, you will understand! Sometimes I just can't stand people!

5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
IVF - May - BFN
6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
10/13 - BFP!!
It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!

We're holding up okay, thanks for asking! I should just post a new thread about that lol, everyone's been asking me what happened.
We decided to take a month off, and do the IUI my next cycle. He's much better now that we talked, he really cooled down and said that he does still want to have a baby with me, he's just nervous because of the previous situation. Which is still insane.
We have his son this weekend, so that will be the true test lol, we'll see how this goes. I told him he needs to take him out on Saturday and do something with him, and basically just keep him out of the house, because I just don't want to deal with the tantrums and everything right now and I want some space, so he said he would figure something out.
Best idea I've seen in days! Lol

Good luck this weekend. It's such a hard situation to be in. I dated a man years ago who had 2 little boys. So I know how difficult it can be and how diplomatic you also need to be. I dumped the bf years ago.. but I do still stay in contact with his boys!!!
