Color/highlight your locks? I did when I was a few days away from my BFP, not really thinking. It'd be nice to bring some shine back when DH returns. Will you? If so, when?

I have already highlighted my hair twice since my BFP.......Everyone has a different opinion on this, maybe try asking your doc to see how she feels.

My No. Dak dr sayd it's okie dokie and my Ohio dr. says only once around 20 wks. No Dak dr wilk deliver LO and delivered DD. But I hate two different responses lol

I haven't colored it since Jan Embarrassed It needs to be done pretty bad. I'm thinking of getting highlights soon. Haven't decided yet.

I don't color my hair so it's easy for me to say no. If I did I think I would at least get highlights. 9 months is a long time to go with bad hair days, and it's probably fine.

I have a few times, doc says it's fine. Highlights are better than full color because the color doesn't touch your scalp.

I read in the baby book its OK. The ammonia smell is the part that is the most harmful because it may make you nauseated.

I dyed with a temporary 28 day dye to touch up my roots, it last long than 28 days. It works for me and there is no ammonia so no awful smell and no nausea... and more money to spend on the nursery! Its a WIN-WIN for me!!!

I was planning on doing an all over color, a black. Just need some shine back. I had my hair chopped and it definitely needs some oomph.

I won't but that is mainly because I dyed my hair to match my roots shortly before my BFP and I want my hair to get healthier before I punish it more.

Everything I've heard/read says its okay but its recommended to wait until the second trimester so I was waiting for that but now I am waiting until the end of summer because I am in the pool and sun so much it will fade so fast anyway.

I also got a coloring about a week before my BFP, and haven't had one since, but not because I'm afraid to do so. My doc said that he generally recommends no more than two colorings per pregnancy, and I haven't used either yet (I'm not counting the one before my BFP!!!) My greys are really starting to show, so I want to do it again, but since I still spend so much time outside and in the water, it makes no sense to do it now - I will probably wait until early September, and then get my second right before my due date at the beginning of December (assuming I make it that far!)
