Pregnyl HCG shot and stinging?

For my first day here, I've managed to be a real pest in the posts.  lol

Tonight, we're triggering with 10,000 iu of Pregnyl.  I was hoping that this would not be a big deal.  I remember a long while ago when we did Clomid + trigger, the HCG didn't bother me at all!  Sure, the injection itself didn't feel great, but the delivery of the medication didn't sting.

After 9 days of torture with Bravelle and Menopur, I was hoping for some relief tonight.  But I've been seeing many reports of Pregnyl stinging worse than Menopur.  Any experiences?  I know everyone responds differently, so it's not a fair question.  Just curious.

    For me the acutal shot going in doesnt hurt or really sting (just did this a few days ago) but it leaves a red very sore welt for a few days after at the injection site.

    I'll answer my own question just in case anyone's curious about the answer.

    We just did the shot.  It was 10,000iu Pregnyl.  It was a breeze!!

    Oh my goodness. There is simply no comparison to Menopur or Bravelle in terms of the stinging/burning.  Not to worry!  Also, I did ice the area for about 20 minutes. I really do think that helps somewhat.

    Lisa, thanks for your response!  It gave me courage.  The shot wasn't bad at all.  It was mostly fear of the unknown.  Next time, I'll be ready for it without any worry.

    Thanks for updating on your post. I'm nervous because I will be doing the pregnyl either tonight or tomorrow most likely!
