  • Part of DH's job entails having a pager for a week every 10 weeks or so. Basically, they give him a phone for people to call him after hours for tech support. It's supposed to be for really bad issues or for really high-up people to use, but these dumb@sses keep calling him at all hours for stupid sh!t, like not being able to access facebook at work or needing a password reset (that's dumb because the system automatically allows for this every 15 minutes). Well, DH has had the pager this week and it sucks because we haven't spent much time together and I'm actually off this weekend. So I used sex to convince him to stay home with me and boys today.

Oh, and I'm ecstatic that the staff pharmacist where I work is retiring as of the end of Saturday. He's so freaking lazy and next to useless and I'm so excited to work with someone who'll actually work for a paycheck instead of eating a sandwich the second I come in to work. But I shouldn't feel this good because the poor man is so sweet as a person and he was basically forced out of his job, even though he had a medical reason for not getting immunization certified.

I think I have the cutest baby in the world! I know I think this way just because she mine, but I just can't help it!

Lol. I think it's totally normal to think that. When we first came home from the hospital, I remember comparing my baby to every other baby I saw (in real life, on package labels, etc.) and thinking "Why do they even bother? Mine is obviously the cutest baby there ever was!" I think hormones play a big role, and I'm sure every single mother on here felt the same way at one point or another. About 5 weeks pp I finally started seeing other babies as cute, too. And by the way, your daughter is adorable. :)

My FFFC is that I'm trying to increase my milk supply by pumping, so I wanted to pump this morning at 5 and at 9 after DS woke up and fed. But sleeping instead felt sooo goood. (I know he's getting enough, but I'm trying to increase my freezer stash.)

  • My FFFC is that I bawled my eyes out today at my breastfeeding group. Bawled.

We've had a completely sh!tty week, thrush is back, nursing strike (I've posted about it already) but I had a complete breakdown today about it. All the other moms made me feel better, that they went through similar things, tips, etc but I just couldn't stop crying. In fact, as I type I'm crying. I'm a big baby.

I also have three loads of laundry all clean, waiting to be folded and put away but this week has been crap so I haven't done a thing around the house. It is a mess.

Another (I am just full of them today, and since DS is sleeping) - I never wear a bra at home. With having to nurse so often, and with having thrush Again, I just don't. I don't care if they sag, this is a lot easier.

if someone were to inspect our LO's room with a black light they would find more traces of bodily fluids then I would like to admit.  Between BM, spit-up, and having to change a little boys diaper I think you get my drift...

  • My DH doesn't have much experience with babies, so before DS was born, he used to say that he wouldn't be able to pick him out of the nursery (he imagined he'd be in the old fashioned through the window kind). Anyway, I told him that was ridiculous and that all babies do NOT look the same, in fact, I was getting angry that he would say that!

Now I'm eating my words, but the confession part is that I will NOT admit it. Not that I think all babies look alike now, but I swear especially on here there have been some posters with pics in their siggys that I have had to double take because they look JUST like my kid. Even girls. Also my brother has twin girls and one looks like my son, and I have mixed up some pictures already. I hate it when he is right about ridiculous things.

She is a cutie!  I feel the same way about Violet.  :)

My FFC is that I almost wanted V to sleep all day after having her 2 month shots today.  The ILs are coming in town, and I think they've gotten the idea that she's a bit difficult.  She isn't at all, but she always gets over-stimulated and therefore stays up too late and gets exhausted and fussy when we visit them or they come here.  I just wanted her to sleep so I could leave her in her bassinet with an excuse.  But she hasn't been any sleepier than usual since getting her shots.

  • We're giving up on cloth diapers for the time being. In part because of the heat wave, no a/c, and local water shortage. And in part because DH is the one who stays home and, after 3 months, he still can't cope with poop. Wiping up when it's a disposable, fine. But the more hands-on work required with cloth is beyond him. He tried. And he's already given up so much personally and professionally to stay home that I'm not going to fight him on it. Especially since it's not the only thing stressing us out. Maybe in the fall we can try again.

  • I thought of another. I dislike most boy clothes. I hate "graphic tees", pretty much all of them. My 2 month old is not a "rock star", "off-roader", football player, etc. I'm going to be terrible when he starts having an opinion about clothes if he happens to like that stuff. I just thought of this while perusing Carter's 40% off sale, they look even worse online than in person. I'm not at all disappointed that I have a boy, but I'm slightly jealous of those who get to dress girls. (I have more fun dressing my nieces.) Though I'm sure the grass is always greener, I hate princess-y girl stuff too.

I know that's why I posted it here. Everyone keeps telling us we're nutso, but it took us a year to get out sticky baby last time, so I want a head start. Plus if we get luck and get KU next month my LO's would be a year apart and I'm okay with that!

And I'll be around here forever. This board is awesome :)

  • I feel like a loser because I have virtually no friends.  Everyone that I did consider a friend now is too busy with their social life for me. Ever since I became a mom, I have been non-exsistant to them. I love my family, and they make me happy, so I give my time completely to them.

Oh, and you ladies seem to be the only people I can relate to.

I handled poop way more when using disposables with kids I babysat than I ever do with cloth.  And I'm actually thankful to be using cloth during the heat wave since it's breathable and chemical-free!  Having said that, I'd have a hard time sticking to it if DH didn't want to use cloth as much as I did.

Me too Carissa, but for different reasons.  My friends live in Georgia; the only friends I knew were DH's military buddies and they are all deployed or in Japan or something.  The only friends I made were at work, but I'll see them maybe twice a month.

None of my friends in Georgia have children either, so I'm very glad that I have you ladies on here to share stories and vent with.

My FFFC - DS will fuss and fuss if I put him in his crib/swing/bouncer/bassinet for a nap that I let him sleep in my arms.  I'm glad he gets a nap, but I feel like a bum for sitting around and watching TV all day.  I do enjoy laundry and cleaning (I'm insane, I know); I feel guilty when it doesn't get done, yet I've sat through an entire marathon of America's Next Top Model on Bravo.

I watched a season on cwtv.com in two or three days.  Sometimes I just don't feel up to being productive.   I could probably get a lot more done if I started babywearing more often...I'm just hoping DH doesn't figure this out and up his expectations!

  • Even though it wasn't nap time yet and DS wasn't tired, I swaddled him, gave him his paci and stuck him in the swing...a sure fire thing to get him to sleep. I was so tired and needed a nap. So now our schedule is a bit thrown off, but I feel better after my nap.

    2. Even though we have been a little tight on cash, I just spent 90 dollars on cricut cartridges on a discount site. Scrapbooking anyone?

    3. I'm a SAHM, so I don't need to pump as much, but I have been anyway to save up for my friend's stagette party and wedding where I plan to get trashed.

    4. For the last 3 nights DD and I have both fallen asleep after/during side-lie nursing and stayed next to each other in bed for the remainder of the night.

    opps it didn't post...

Anyway, my other FFC is that we have a closet and dresser full of clothes (and the NB sized stuff is already packed away).  I have only purcased two outfits out of all of it.  We have very generous friends and family and I have one friend that have a 7 month old son.  It is their first and last child and she has sent me 3 huge boxes of wonderful hand-me-downs.  They are all in great condition and very cute so I just don't see the point in spending money on clothes that we really don't need.

I always hated moms who left their babies in the car seat all the time and now my baby is in his for a nap at least once a day.  I think because we have to drive quite a way to get anywhere he is just used to being in it.  I have tried everything to get him asleep with no luck.  But if I put him in the car seat and swing it for about 5 minutes he's out and will sleep 2 hours.

Mine: I was kind of rude to a guy at a gas station today. DS and I were in a part of town that's not horrible, but not great. I was already not wanting to get out and get gas, but I really needed it. As I was pumping my gas this guy came up to me and, in Spanish, asked me where I was going. I was flustered and couldn't figure out what he asked me at the time so I said, "uh, what?"

Then he asked me my name. I told him and got in my car and drove away really quickly.  I felt like an idiot afterwards. He really didn't do anything threatening, but I had DS in the car and I really don't like it when strange men talk to me randomly. It creeps me out.

That would scare me too. Strange men are creepy.

I also think my daughter is gorgeous.

I have no friends except my coworkers and you ladies. Call me pathetic. It's ok. I do feel bad for my DH though. He doesn't have any friends either because he doesn't know anyone here besides my family.

    I'm a conservative.
