What do you think you'd like to know? Some options to choose from:
-How big the baby will be
-How long delivery will last for you/How hard it will be
-Whether it's a boy or a girl
-The date that your LO will be born so you don't have to guess as to when it'll happen
-Any other fun choices?
Re: If you could choose ONE thing to know abt. your delivery, what would it be?
baby #3 arrived in September 2014...cannot get ticker to work no matter what I try!
How much it will hurt, definitely. This is my first baby so all I have to go off of are other people's experiences which are mostly either horror stories or "piece of cake" stories.
Also, how will DH handle being in the delivery room? Will he be helpful or will I want to smack him?
In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.
This is a great question!!
For me, it is a toss up between how long/how hard and how big she will be. My MIL was in labor for something to the tune of 26+ hours, and my DH was 10 lb 3 oz! My sister and I were both c-sections, so my mom never had labor with us. So, either of those would be great to know.
Another I would like to know is whether or not I will have to be induced or if my water was going to break or if I will just be in labor and they would break my water?
BFP #1 3/13/13, MMC 4/17/13, D&C 4/19/13
BFP #2 8/7/13, Beta at 4w6d = 3,796
I would like to know...
It's a toss up between the date he'll be born and how much he'll weigh.
Well, I know the date ( scheduled c section)... otherwise that would be my choice!
Now, I'll choose...
How will my body respond to spinal block and pain meds. I have had issues with drugs before... and I seriously don't want to be goofy, sick, or out of it. I just want to see my baby, sans meds... oh well.
This totally. lol
this
I would want to know how long my labor process would be - kind of. I do better with an end point (only 6 more hours, only 2 more hours...) but at the beginning, that would be really hard to swallow (26 more hours???).
I think my safe one would be I want to know what doctor is going to be oncall to deliver me that day! I hope it's not the one who called me "boring"
Same here!

I would looove to know the exact date. I'm a planner and that information would get rid of so much of my anxiety. I'd also be able to make sure my fiance isn't unreachable and out of town! Next choice would be exactly how long labor would last, I think I'm most freaked out about the possibility of having an "unending" labor and knowing it's probably shorter than I'm expecting would also get rid of a lot of worry.
What do you think you'd like to know? Some options to choose from:
-How big the baby will be ((I already know approx wt))
-How long delivery will last for you/How hard it will be ((long enough for them to numb and slice))
-Whether it's a boy or a girl ((already know she is definitely a girl))
-The date that your LO will be born so you don't have to guess as to when it'll happen ((hmm--c-sect, so i can pick and choose this))
-Any other fun choices? ((nope))
If I could know when we were going to go into L&D (whether it be for induction c-section or natural labor) and the date we were to leave the hospital.
My DD and this LO have the same due date but DD was 7 days late, and my b-day is 2 days after my due date..so I would just like to know so DDs b-day plans don't get messed up (planned for 3 weeks after due date)
