  No way! I didn't start painting Dd #2's nails until she was about 3. It's hard to paint squirmy nails!

  Umm, no. I just started letting my 9yr old DD paint her finger nails. So my three month old has quite a wait still.

  I did it while she was sleeping and she did great! But DD is a pretty heavy sleeper so I think that's why she did so well!

  Maybe when she's 5 years old but I see no reason to paint her nails unless she asks for them to be painted.

  I didn't start painting my oldest child's until she was 2.  Clipping her nails is still such a chore and she is 3.  I couldn't imagine trying to paint those teeny tiny toe nails.

  I painted DD's nails a pale pink when she was around 18 months old.  She sat very still and was fascinated by it.  I found it adorable.  Baby nails, however, are too tiny!

  Not yet, but I've been thinking about it. I would need to pick up some of that fancy kid safe nail polish, though.

  I don't think nail polish is "necessary" at any age.

  I don't care to go out and buy natural nail polish so that my 2 month old can have painted nails.  I don't even paint my own; I got tired of the chemicals in most nail polishes warping my nails.

  I am in the "when she asks" boat as well. I did however pain my DS's nails clear the other day because he was quite adamant that they needed to be done when I was painting mine. So my guess it will be around 2.
