Smiling big from random act of kindness

So I just got back from lunch and have a huge smile on my face. I went to a restaurant that I have been to several times in the past month. Sometimes, my pregnant co-worker joins me but she wasn't with me today. An older woman approached me and asked if I was alone today. I was really caught off guard but told her that yes, I was alone. I have no idea who this woman is but I can assume she must go to this restaurant often. She went on to explain that she had something for the two of us but since I was there alone, the other girl would have to wait. She pulled out a gift bag and gave it to me for my baby. Here in Colombia people can be very religious and like giving prayers so there was a prayer in the bag for the baby and a cute pair of baby shoes. So nice to see people in the world have a heart for strangers. Part of me feels stalked but amazed that someone would go to the trouble for such a nice random act of kindness.

That is amazing! When DD was born we recieved gifts from people that knew my Mom but not me. Amazing a total stranger was thinking about you and wishing you the best.
