Here's my story... It took me 15 months and 2 MC to have my Lo and I had him 10 weeks early. We did follisitm injectiables and Ti to get pg with Lo and the 2nd cycle on injectiables worked.
This time around it's been about 14 months so far and I just had a lap done last monday the 18th and had my post op with RE yesterday and he told me based on my age (38 today) and how long it's taken us to get pg that I only had 6% chance of getting pg on our own and 11 % chance of getting pg on Drugs with IUI. We have no coverage for IUI or IVF. I have already had 1 IUI done BFN back in May. We have beening doing follsitim with Ti for the other cycles.
My Lap founf that I had a ll of scar tissue and that 1 of tubes was hiddenin scar tissue and twisted and folled most likely from my csection. The re cleared most of the scar tissue but, I also had some attaced to my bladder so he went as far as he could but, didn't want to take to much for fear of entering my bladder. He straighten my tube and removed a poylp and than did HSG while I was out to make sure the dye worked through both tubes which it did but, he couldn't gurantee the tube would work.
If you had a lap what did they find if anything ?
How long did it take to get Pg and what did you do to get pg ( Iui, Ti, IVF or drugs)?
When did you start to TTC again?
Thanks....
Re: ANy one have a lap done
Just like the pp, my lap in '08 showed I also had no functioning tubes. Also had an HSG that confirmed. Mine were beyond repair. IVF was our only option and we luckily had some insurance coverage. I was only 27 at the time and we were lucky to have a successfull IVF on our first try and a success with our first FET for baby # 2. Sounds like with your situation you probably have increased odds of an IUI working after they cleared your tubes and removed the scar tissue. Good luck!
I had a lap last August after nearly 2 yrs TTC, 3 failed IUI's, 2 other surgeries, etc. They didn't find anything to explain why we weren't getting pg. We were supposed to start meds for IVF #1 in Sept., but my FIL passed away unexpectedly, so we had to delay as we were out of the country. We did a fresh cycle in Nov. that ended in a m/c, but then I got pg from our FET in April.
What did your RE recommend? I can't tell you what you should do, but that for us finally doing IVF was the best decision we've ever made (we had some ins. coverage, but had to pay several thousand OOP for each cycle). GL!
5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
Thankful for every day
My Re recommended IVF but, we Have no coverage for it and it would cost as around 12,000 for 1 cycle and with my history of loss it's just too risky a chance to take and my odds only go up to 45% with IVF. IUI cycle still cost us 1200 but, more affordable.
