Celexa side effects

Did anyone encounter a loss of appetite from taking Celexa? I am now on my second week and I noticed my appetite has been completely non-existent. I literally went all day today without eating and didn't realize it until 15 minutes ago (10:45pm). I had to choke down half a sandwich and 1/2 cup of pasta. I want to lose 10 lbs but not this way!
If you did have this side effect did it go away?

I know the feeling. I don't know if I just felt so icky that I did not want to eat or what. I had horrible bathroom issues, so the second I ate it was right through me. So, I just did not eat really at all. I lost in total 14 lbs in about 3 weeks.
I have been on the med's for about 1 month now and I am still down 10. I do have an appetite back though, but not like it was before hand. What dose are you on? I am on the 20.

I'm on 20 as well. I started out with half tablets the first week and just started taking the full dose this week. Maybe I will give it some time but definitely not too much. I like food.
The only real side effects so far are the loss of appetite and not falling asleep so well even though I take it in the morning. I think the sleep isgetting better though.
Guess I will have to wait and see what happens!

I know the feeling with the sleep. I had/have issues since taking this with sleep. My Dr. said to split the med in half and take 10 in the morning and 10 at night. I have done that and it seems a tad bit better. I am thinking of taking all 20 in the morning which the pharmacist recommended.
I am TTC #2 after 15 attempts with my own eggs, which failed horribly! We are doing ivf with donor eggs, so stress and taking the hormones for a "good lining" may be playing a part in all this too.....
My Dr said that most people are on 40 and I could go up to 30 if needed. I am trying to stick to the 20 and hope once I am pregnant and have all these crazy artifical hormones out of my system it gets better. i am 4 weeks into it this week and noticed an improvement so far.

I am on 30 mg of celexa. started on 20 for a few months and then had to up the meds.
I am SLEEPY. I could sleep ALL day long. I am exhausted. The most about 2-3 hours after taking it for about 12 hours. I take it at night and am still drowsy in the morning.
I am going back to the NP on Thursday and hopefully going on something different.
I'm the exact opposite. I have almost no symptoms, but I have one heck of a sweet tooth! I also had no withdrawal symptoms, so I accidentally came off my meds once.
However I had a HORRIBLE time on Effexor, and switched to Celexa. If it's not working for you, call your doc and get something that will! It all depends on how your body reacts, and you don't have to suffer through this when there are so many other options!
