DS will be starting daycare in 2.5 weeks. He's going to an in-home provider. I'm thinking about all the stuff I need to pack for him to go and I guess I need to put his name on/in everything. Any tips? How do I put his name on his clothes, etc?

Re: Daycare - name tags
Someone posted a link to this site on my month board. They have really cute labels. I am planning on ordering some of the Orbit labels when LO goes to daycare.

As far as labeling clothes, when I worked in centers parents usually just put the child's initials on the tag of the clothing item. Most kids didn't even have their clothes labeled. They each had their own bin of clothes, diapers, and wipes and we were pretty good about keeping everything separate.
I wouldn't worry too much about labeling clothes, just write his name w/ a sharpie on the inside collar or on the tag. We were in a big daycare center and the only things that ever went missing were bibs. I would make sure your bottles and binkies are labled well though.
I use these and have been pretty happy.

Because I had to label EVERYTHING, bottles, etc. etc. I ended up using name bubbles. ( I have a 15% off discount that I can forward to you.)
Really, I only label the clothing that I care about.
The name labels are dishwasher and laundry proof. However, if you want to remove them from clothing, you can just peel them off and then reuse them.
Ditto. We used Name Bubbles and they work really well. I have also heard of Mabels Labels online as being another popular one.
We also have the name bubbles. I use them for all of the items that get brought home and washed (except bibs, those are done with a sharpie).
For plastic sandwich bags and little take-along containers I got a pack of the Avery return address labels. There are 80 to page. I printed out a bunch with DD's name and a spot for the date.
I'd love the discount code, if you are able to send it to multiple people? sunriseonthewater at hotmail dot com.
I have used namebubbles and inchbug and have liked both.
Also, since we have to date our bottles/bowls I use a wax pencil to write the date. That way I still don't have to deal with any sticky residue from tape or anything. When I need to write a new date on it, I just take my finger and smudge it off in a quick second.
I sent it and I can send it to multiple people
