Yesterday I learned that my wonderful Dr. Edward Oliver who I affectionately referred to as "Dr. Huxtable" passed away on July 4th. I called his office to ask him clomid questions and make an appointment and there was a message stating that he had died. My PCP's nurse told me that shortly after he delivered a baby he went to lay down and had a massive heart attack. Needless to say I was shocked. For the past year he had been a wealth of knowledge and an excellent source of support while I've been TTC. I feel lost and nervous because now I have to start all over again with someone new. I feel guilty for having those thoughts so soon but it's hard to find a doctor that you feel a connection to. I'm thankful that I got to know such a great man and hopeful that my next doctor will be half as kind, compassionate, and funny as he was.
Rest in Sweet Peace Dr. Edward S. Oliver.
