Pregnant after IF

Does This Happen To Anyone Else?

Sometimes I'll feel like a tightening sensation and I'll look down and part of my belly will be totally contorted.  Like just one side, and it'll be all bunched up and several inches higher than the rest of the area.  It'll be tight there, and the rest of my belly can be soft or not as hard.

I've been assuming that's a BH but I wondered if anyone else sees this or thought it had anything to do w/ the baby bunching up in one spot.

Re: Does This Happen To Anyone Else?

  • I'm just guessing but maybe it is actually the baby on one side of your abdomen?

I know I have seen friends who were pregnant have this happen and it was baby literally burrowing into one side or the other. They were further along than you are now but you mentioned you are small framed and petite, so maybe that's why you can see it now at this point?

  • It happens to me all the time.... at least 5 times a day. It's when she stretches and sticks her booty out on one side. Very normal for me. She does it more on the left side than the right.

  • This just started for me not too long ago where he will get curled up on one side & looking from my view, the whole left side is bulging out & really hard because it's either his butt or head or some  body part. BH is more "pain" uncomfortable sensation in the lower region like period cramps. I haven't had BHs yet but that is how it was described to me

This. Except my LO always bunches up on my right side. If I gently push back , the baby moves. Try it.

Yes, I'm very small, and I've been able to actually see my belly moving when the baby kicks/punches, etc. for about 2 weeks now.  Sometimes I do think that's what it is b/c if I put my hand there I sometimes feel him fluttering around underneath right there...but I really don't know!

  • Yes, my baby does this sometimes. Often I'll gently guide her back to center because it can be downright uncomfortable!

  • This happens to me sometimes too. You can always try to change your position if you would like to get the baby to move as well. For instance being on your hands and knees can help guide the baby back to the middle.

  • So crazy, eh?

But I agree with some who say most likely the baby is camped out on that side making it much more cramped on that spot giving the strange feel.

In addition, I've had BH so many time and I never even knew I was having them until the U/S tech pointed it out during an u/s.  Go figure!

    Hope all is well!
