I have a friend coming for an 3 day visit with her 17 month old toddler. I only have a 5 week old, so I have absolutely no idea what a toddler eats. I am assuming I should have whole milk on hand ... and I know my friend has mentioned her daughter has no dietary restrictions now. What types of stuff should I have around the house for nutritious snacks ... is it stuff like fruits, yogurt, bread, graham crackers, cheerios, cheese? Also, help me on what types of things qualify as "meals" for 17 month old toddlers? TIA!!

PP's all have good suggestions -- my guess is that this toddler isn't picky since the mom didn't mention anything when you asked her. I would just plan on them eating whatever you guys are eating -- that's what my DS does.
However, I always have the following on hand for snacks: bananas, watermelon, applesauce, cheese sticks, yogurt, Goldfish crackers, Nutri-Grain bars, cereal I can put in his snack cup (usually Froot Loops).
