anyone buying crib protectors?

I'm deciding if I want to buy one.
Avery has been standing in his crib and chewing on the rail. It didn't used to be an issue because he'd gum at it, but now he has teeth!
This was a crib we repainted and I'm concerned the paint could be harmful...I actually don't know if it is or not.
So, are you buying one? And which one?

We likely will but I haven't researched options since it's not an issue yet (no teeth or standing). Our crib converts to a normal bed so I don't want it totally trashed by teething. Of course, our cats have already put some scratches on it with their claws...
