anyone buying crib protectors?

I'm deciding if I want to buy one.

Avery has been standing in his crib and chewing on the rail. It didn't used to be an issue because he'd gum at it, but now he has teeth!

This was a crib we repainted and I'm concerned the paint could be harmful...I actually don't know if it is or not.

So, are you buying one? And which one?

i dont have one yet. DD has no teeth and can't pull up anyway, but if it becomes an issue, i'm planning on getting this one https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3190434 i dont want the crib to get messed up, since i plan on using it for future tiny people

We likely will but I haven't researched options since it's not an issue yet (no teeth or standing). Our crib converts to a normal bed so I don't want it totally trashed by teething. Of course, our cats have already put some scratches on it with their claws...

My FIL made LO's crib and put protectors on when he made it, which is a good thing because LO is also standing and getting her mouth on the railing (even with the mattress at the lowest setting - she's getting so big!)

My LO is standing and chewing already too!  To add in fun she's jumping almost in the crib.  We got these https://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Easy-Teether-Cover-Ivory/dp/B002D76GX8/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1311701988&sr=1-2 for the whole crib.  They are soft on the top and plastic under so when she chews on it she doesn't make the crib wet.
