Since a lot of us are finding out the sex of our babies now, I thought it would be fun to discuss names again--last time we did, I don't think many of us knew what we were having.
We are pretty set on Jude Wesley. I waiver on the middle name (pathetically because we have family that hates it) and because everyone associates it with the college I went to.
Jude is a keeper as DH's mom (who died) was Judy and this is our way of honoring her. AND, I love, love, love the name ![]()
Re: Who has baby names?
Not me
I'll keep my eye on this thread for some suggestions, though!

My Rainbow Baby Boy born 03Jan2019
Not us either! We can't agree on any... its becoming very frustrating.
We are choosing between Nicholas and Michael for the first name, and his middle name will be Dominic. My hubby's name is Michael, and I told him that I'd be proud to give our son his name, and I gave him the final decision. I secretly want Nicholas though shhhhhh
Dominic is my FIL's name so we are honoring him this way.
Adriana Virginia.
Adriana is just a name we both like and Virginia is after my granny with whom I was very close.
LCT - 5.15.14 ~ 9lbs, 22.5 inches
We find out tomorrow morning if it is boy or girl (YAY!!), but I think we are getting pretty set on our short lists. Baby won't be officially named until we meet him or her.
Boy:
Benjamin, Henry, or Andrew.
Girl:
Lindsay, Olivia, Audrey, or Annika (DH LOVES Annika. It isn't my top pick, but it has grown on me)
I think that this is such a beautiful name!
We are team green, as of right now we have 2 options for each. For a boy Liam James or Cole James and for a girl Aubrey Jane or Molly Jane. These may change again before December so we will see.
My husand and I are still arguing between Ariel and Brianna....I want Ariel and he wants Brianna. I'll probably end up getting my way, since he does admit he likes my name too (just likes his name better), while I don't like his at all.
Neither name got much love from the baby name board, as I figured, but that's okay with me. After all, I think some of the names other people pick are weird!
For a boy we're pretty much decided on Trevor Michael. Michael is DH, FIL and my dad's MN, so that was easy lol.
For a girl we're having more trouble. My favorite is Mairi Wallace (or possibly Wallis) and it's growing on DH. My grandma's name is Marilyn (Mairi is Scottish version of Mary), and Wallace was my grandfather's name. My second fav is Genevieve Wallace (nn Ginny). DH's favorite is Finley Wallace.
We *hopefully* find out next Friday whether we are set or need to hash it out more
I love this! Josephine May is a beautiful name as it is, but the meaning behind her middle name is so sweet. Thumbs up to your DH.
I like Jude!
We have, had our boy name picked out for a couple of years. We were going to use it if DD2 had been a boy, and we liked it so much we never changed it. If we have a boy his name will be Micah Monroe. Monroe is a family middle name on DH's side, so DH wanted to use it.
If we have a girl her name will be Emilie, which is a family name on my side. We aren't sure of a middle name yet. It will likely be Grace or Faith, but I'm still looking at any five letter names that would go with Emilie. All of our kids have the same number of letters in their name, so we want to stick with that.

It only took us about an hour to decide on Wesley Emerson. We will call him Wes.
We've decided not to tell our families the name because we are afraid that if someone doesn't like it, this will turn into naming our son by committee. We figure that after he's born and named, the name is the name whether they like it or not.
We also considered Alexander, Wyatt, and Desmond.
We are hopefully finding out today what we are having provided that baby cooperates. For a girl we are thinking Cailey and for a boy Jackson. We'll see though, they could always change! Fingers crossed we get a good view
We are naming our baby girl Sofia Mnookmi (Ma-no-ka-mae) means new beginning in my husbands language.
We have 1 girls name idea that we are set on: Berrit Marie
Other than that, nothing. DH likes Rory for a boy, but I'm not convinced. We are still trying to come up with 1 more girl and at least 2 boy names-team green.
Honestly, it's a head-desk discussion for us right now. This might to just Baby L 2.0 forever.
I like all of those names...great picks!
Our little boy is going to be Holden. We aren't dead set on a middle name yet thinking holden thomas or holden wyatt. middle names as almost as hard as the first name
As of now our girl name is Anna Elinor. Annette was DH's grandmothers name and Ann is my mom's mn. Elinor is my mema's name.
Boy we are having a hard time. We were set on Gregory William or Beau William. Then we got to talking about the men in our family and DH really wanted a way to honor his grandfather because he meant so much to him and the girl name is after women we love. I don't like any of the family names for boys but his grandfather's name was Kenneth Edward so I'm open to a few new ideas.
We aren't telling any of our friends the name as we don't want to hear their opinions. We like very original names and most people hate them...
Our daughter will be:
Tinnell Maxine Dikeledi - Tinnell we both love, Maxine is my mom and Dikeledi (Dee-Ka-Lady) is DH's mom who is deceased.
Us too! My husband has suggested one name, which I don't love, and he shoots down all the names that I suggest. I'm incredibly frustrated.
We are having a girl. We are going back and forth between two names (and more could pop up).
Charlotte Marie (Charlie for short)
Anna Marie (Annie for short)
Our A/S is in about 2 weeks but we have names narrowed down.
Boys: Joshua Alexander or Benjamin Alexander
Girls: Zoey Reagan or Zoey Alexis or Hayley Alexis
We were having a hard time with boy names, but we lucked out with a little lady and had loads of names we liked. It seems most of the ones we agreed on were all really popular: Madeline, Chloe, Mia, Mya.
But the one name I threw out there kind of as a joke but more to see if he would bite he went for! I was shocked, but our little girls name looks like it will be Rowan Kate Flanagan. Neither of us are Irish, DH is English, but the name just sounds so Irish to me! Maybe it makes sense because she was conceived in Boston
Rowan is the name of my favourite yarn company and fashion house, but it's also just a really lovely sounding name to me in general. Kate is DH's sisters middle name and it happended to go really well with the first name we chose. I am actually surprised it was so easy for us, normally we take ages to name our pets, so I thought this was going to be really difficult!
We don't get a chance to find out the sex until Aug 12. However, the top names on our list are:
Boy- Isaac Paul (Paul is my father's middle name and my late grandfather's first name)
Girl-Audrey Marie or Elise Marie (Marie is traditionally given to the first-born daughter in my family and happens to be MIL's and my middle name)
Thanks I thought it was sweet too... He did good. It took a LONG time to get to her first name though... we had an 8 hr ride to a wedding, we sorted it all out there and back... He is in love with Isabelle, which I think is a pretty name, just too popular, he liked sophia, I had the same problem... But we both loved Josephine, so it stuck!
We are about 95% sure LO#2 is a girl, based on an elective gender scan I had at 18w2d. I think we're very close to finalizing Lianna Shinobu (I am Japanese-American). My DH is Chinese-American and his parents are picking her Chinese middle name, which will go in between the first and Japanese names.
My a/s is tomorrow, so unless the u/s tech at the gender scan was wrong, Lianna Shinobu it is.
