  I bought a pack of the Carter's brand and it seemed to shrink a bit also.

  I received a nice hand me down bassinet from a friend. She said she had a hard time with bassinet sheets and ended up using a regular pillow case instead.

  Haha I have the opposite problem -- my bassinet is an antique from the 1940s I'd estimate, and has a smaller-sized mattress than most of the ones manufactured today.  So a "standard-sized" bassinet pad will have extra scrunch on the ends, as do most sheets (including Gerber.) 

  Seems like most people have issues with crib/bassinet sheets no matter what... as "standard" as manufacturer's like to claim their products are, there is always so much variance in size, stretch, depth, etc.  I guess it's just trial & error.

  I received a hand me down bassinet and decided to buy the sheets from Pottery Barn Kids because my crib bedding is from there and the sheets are really good quality.  I will say the same for the bassinet sheets, they didn't shrink when I washed them, they are soft and thick and they are really not that expensive relative to other items from PBK ($20 for a 2 pack).

  Gerber has a reputation of doing that with all of their products.  I bought some size 6 month onesies by them and after I washed them they were like newborn sized.  Terrible.

  I hate all Gerber Items, lol.

  My Carter's shrunk a little but still fit all the way through the first baby and now are going to probably last throughout another baby... We have an arm's reach co sleeper now so I gave the sheets to a friend.

  FYI, every gross stain ever came out of the Carter's sheets. Formula, other baby nastiness, you name it. There was even a sheet that my Mom had used at her house that apparently my brother didn't feel like tossing in the washer with his clothes because we JUST found it between the washer & the wall 2 years later with a nice stain on it, and it came out.
