The ticker/picture warning over there, in any post, are just ridiculous. God forbid someone with children try to conceive. It's just not fair to those trouble borrowers on cycle 2 with 35 posts.

I've never understood ticker/picture warnings (except when posting on TTCAL or the IF boards). I don't know why people assume that only first timers could possibly be posting on message boards.

I am actually shocked that they put up with a trying for a sibling post at all. I would think most of the women over there would respond "how dare you want a second child when I haven't had one yet!"

Am I alone in thinking that people TTC might *like* to see pictures of babies/kids? That's how I felt when I was on TTGP, but apparently this is not a popular feeling.

I didn't have a problem with pictures or tickers on TTCAL. I always gave a warning when I was PgAL if I went to TTCAL because that was the "rule" of the board. Rule is the right term, but I can't think of what word I want to use. I also give a warning if I'm responding to a late loss question on the m/c/loss board.

This is/was my issue with TTCAL- if you are at a place to start trying again why is it you can't deal with tickers or pictures? Are you only going to be okay with yourself being the one getting pregnant? No one else?

I get what you're saying but I guess I just understand ticker warnings more on those boards. I post on 3T (and the IF board occasionally) and tickers don't bother me and I don't see a need for warnings but I can somewhat understand people thinking it would be a good idea to PUT a ticker warning on those boards, not necessarily for people to expect them - if that makes any sense.

Yeah, they are on a baby board. They should expect them without warnings. They shouldn't leave their house if they don't want ot see children or babies. No one is going to warn them there is a baby about to enter the store or be on the next aisle.

Personally, I think they are all BSC. When I came on TB after my miscarriage, I loved seeing the baby pics people had up. This isn't going to come out right, but seeing a baby pic and a note remembering a loss gave me hope. It meant that others had gone through what I was going through and they not only survived, but got pregnant and had a healthy baby afterwards. I just don't get their "if I can't have one, no one should and don't show it if you do" attitude and the constant rules.
