won't work first-time
We had talked about thinking about trying, and I figured I was probably ovulating (though I wasn't charting or anything) DH and I were getting warmed up... I mentioned that I could get pregnant right now... His response was well it never happens on the first-time! Ya, so much for that... :-)
Long Distance Relationship.
DH was away for 2 months for work and that week he got home we had sex about 3-4 times a day for a week. We thought we would "try" and apparently it works-lol.

What A Surprise
DH and I had discussed kids before but we're actively trying (although we weren't preventing either). We had been having unprotected sex for 5 years and had never gotten pregnant, so it was a total surpise when I took the test. I have no idea when the actual conception happened so I'm not sure what the 3 words to describe that moment were lol

I was on the BCP and it turned out my bipolar meds interfered with it and no one knew it was a side effect. Oops

My husband read that if he was to "release" himself before we had the baby-making sex it would make him more fertile. Who knows if that had anything to do with it, but it worked!

Quick Calendar Math
My DH is in Hawaii right now for his anual training for the National Guards. We had been charting temperature on Fertility Friend as a means of birth control. It shows you when your fertile days are by making them green on the calendar.
So, we were getting frisky and I told him it was a green day. He asked if he should put a condom on. I did the quick math in my head to make sure he would be back in time from his training for the baby to be born. When I realized it was close, but probably fine, I told him I was fine without one if he was. As long as I don't go into labor tonight, we should be fine since he gets back tomorrow.

I knew I was going to be a stay at home mom and I was a teacher. Our school district adopted the WORST math series I've ever seen. It was the bain of my existence. Not having to teach the crappy math series ever again also crossed my mind in the moment of choice.

We live in Wisconsin and it was SUPER cold in our house. We made it to December without turning the heat on. He was wearing these really odd looking pants that are flesh colored. They have a hole in the front, but it's not a normal fly. The way the material folds funny makes it look more like a vagina. He left them on because it was cold.

A big shock
It was an ER doctor who let my hopes down. I came in with severe cramping thinking omg maybe i am pregnant and something is happening. To find out I wasn't and the dr told me and i quote " I'm no OB but you'll never have children" your kidding right?! to find out a few months later I got pregnant
was the biggest shock of my life. Guess thats what happens when you stop trying and loose all hope 
"Sinus Surgery Tomorrow"
I was having a pretty serious sinus surgery, and the night before, we decided to have sex because "it would be a while" before I probably felt like doing it again, lol.
WELL.... I apparently ovulated the day of my surgery or sometime around then. I was supposed to have ovulated the week before though so we thought we were in the clear. We were going to start trying the following month or two, but didn't want to get pregnant that month since I was having the surgery and would have to be on pain meds, antiobiotics, steroids, etc for a while.
So much for that!
Honeymoon/Birthday/Thanksgiving sex!
Yup we were on our Honeymoon in Punta Cana on Thanksgiving day which happened to be my Birthday!

Surprise Homecoming Excitement
My husband was sent to Greece and Spain for a short "deployment" and when he was supposed to be on his way home, he called to say that the jet broke down and they were stuck in Spain for a few extra days until parts came in. I was so upset, but then the doorbell rang and when I looked through the peep hole to see who the heck was at my house without calling first (big pet peeve lol) It was actually my husband!

DH just got a new job and we went out to a really nice restaurant to celebrate. We got there early and hit the bar.... hard. A few appletinis for me, a few glasses of whiskey for him, a huge steak, and even more booze later, we took the celebration home and threw caution to the wind!

We live with our in-laws. They were out of town for a few days. DH and I went a little crazy and had lots of sex all over the house! We weren't trying, but we also weren't using any type of protection.

Antibiotics & Birthday Sex
I got strep throat in Mid November & didn't really think about the BCP/ Antibiotic interacting, because I got the shot in the rump treatment & never gave it a second thought. Also DH was in the hospital for gall bladder problems around the same time, so needless to say the little strep I had wasn't my main concern!
DH's birthday is 11/27. The timing was uncanny.. we were planning on getting married in April 2012 & TTC then.. so we're only a few months ahead of our original plan!

Mine: Living Room Naked.
It was our third month trying and third month charting. DH and I had a little TTC fight just the day before. Basically I was upset that he didn't seem to want to "actively try." He was still wrapping his head around BBT charting, etc but I wanted to do everything I could every cycle. I told him that really wanted TTC to be sexy, fun, exciting, etc. I told him that just because we were planning/trying that it shouldn't me made into "work."
The following night he walking into the living room naked and said something along the lines of "baby, I'm yours." I am so happy that I have such a strong memory of that night, and that it was the best TTC sex we ever had.
Belated Birthday Present
DH and I and a few friends went out for my birthday, I knew that I was at the end of my ovulation period and had all intentions of creating a baby that night. DH had a different plan as he barely made it in the house on his own that night. Well I guess I was ovulating late because a week later DH made it up to me and the rest is history
Parents were gone
We were on vacation with my parents, and we were staying in a timeshare together in Florida. My parents headed off to a timeshare meeting... and... well... hubby and I hadn't had time to ourselves in a while... seems like the timing was accidentally right! So now we've got a little Florida souvenir!!
Charting, Temping, Peeing

This thread makes me wonder how many of us have November birthdays? There seem to be a lot of birthday sex references around here. Technically, my conception date (Nov 24) is the week after my birthday (Nov 19), but I'll consider LO to be a birthday gift anyway. ha

Engaged.
I guess we got a little excited and didn't "plan" it as the song teaches you...first comes marriage, then comes the baby carriage. Luckily we were able to plan a quick wedding for January before I got the bump which for me eased my worries.
Stopped using protection.
Around our one year anniversary we decided to try for a kid, but my husband was still a little scared of us having a kid (he takes any form of responsibility very seriously... took us 5 years to get a cat). I stopped taking BC at the beginning of last July, but we used condoms until October. I left the condom choice up to him, so that he knew I wanted to wait until was comfortable. We found out I was pregnant around Christmas.
Dear god, I have such a boring story!
