My LO did not sleep through the whole night (10pm-6am) until 4.5 mts old. He now sleeps 9pm-7am. Sleeping through the night is technically 6 hours straight...does he do that?

Breast milk is easily digested, so most EBF babies don't STTN until later than FF babies.. Heck, my 8 month old was waking 2-3 times a night up until two weeks ago. What you're experiencing is very normal, and at only 3.5 months, there's not much to do except feed on demand.
DD goes back and forth with sleeping 8-10 hours and then waking up at night. Very normal for their age and actually my DS didn't stop waking 1-2 times until he was around 12 months no matter what I tried. GL!

I agree with pp, my 8 momth old still doesn't STTN, he wakes up 2-3 times a night, but I think it's partly out of habit and the fact that he's so busy during the day that he doesn't get enough to eat. Also, don't listen to peiple telling you when your child SHOULD be STTN, every baby is different and nothing is "normal".
2-3 nightwakings is about average in a 3.5 month old. At that age, a 4-6 hour stretch is about the best you can expect and any baby his age who's STTN is ahead of the curve. He's not even old enough to self-soothe consistently, so my only suggestion is be patient. I'm in your boat exactly (my DS is 3.5 months old and wakes twice nightly), so I definitely sympathize!
