Re: Anyone Else Find Feeding Situation Totally Overwhelming?
I took a friend of mine who has 2 little kids (one is 6 months and the other is 3 years) with me to register. She was beyond helpful with suggestions and such, especially with the breast pump stuff! She is someone I trust, and she has been through it with 2 little ones recently, so I figured if her suggestions worked for her, they will work for me too!
Do you have any friends with small children who have pumped? Maybe you can take one of them shopping with you?
Personally, I registered for the Medela pump, some of the bottles that go along with it, some of the freezer bags to store milk, and my friend recommended the microwave steam bags for cleaning the parts - much simpler than having to run through the dishwasher or handwash the parts.
Good luck!

The hospital gave me all the tubing and accessories. All I needed (once I was done using the hospital rental) was the Medela Pump In Style Advanced.
You may find that you need bigger flanges or more bottles, but you can deal with that later once you know what your supply is like, etc.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
THis! I did the same thing. I actually got two sets which was helpful. Again I rented a hospital grade pump.
There are tones of supplies but you don't really need all of it at the beginning. Mainly just the flanges, bottles (but as the hospital for some extra), and storage bags but you don't even need those until your supply comes in..
Again I would HIGHLY recc getting the Baby Bargins Book..It narrows all this stuff down for you. I would also maybe post some questions on SAIF! The ladies over there know so MUCH!!
Oh, I find all the situations overwhelming. In particular, I stressed over choosing a pack n play and the crib.
I haven't even chosen a breast pump yet
