I just always hand washed them in hot soapy water and let them air dry. I also have multiple sets. If you dont, you can put them in the fridge inbetween pumpings. I dont own a sterilizer and only used the quick clean bags abt 3 times.
Medela recommends washing w/ warm/hot soapy water after every use..and completely taking apart-EVERYTHING!! Even the white disc things! I think you should sterilize weekly but I'm not sure about that part. I just know the after each use. I just went to a class medela put on at my work and that's what they rec.

Rinsing between uses during the day (if you're pumping multiple times at work) and then washing at home has always worked just fine for me. You do need to take the flanges completely apart when you wash.
I used to take the white part off, take the yellow part off, and wash every.single.piece in hot soapy water after every use.
Yeah...2+ months later, when I'm done pumping, I just rinse each piece off in whatever temp water comes out of the facuet, without dismantling (I only disconnect the funnel part from the other part) the whole thing.
I do dismantle everything once a day and sterilize via the microwave bags.
