Towards the end of my pregnancy I was eating EVERYTHING. It seemed as if I was always hungry! Now, I'm breastfeeding, and I know that I should be eating more too, but I have zero appetite. I'm not sick or anything, I'm just not very hungry. It doesn't seem to be affecting my supply, but I'm afraid that it might happen. And it's not that I don't have time to eat...LO sleeps a lot so there's plenty of time!
Also, I was told that while your breastfeeding, your supposed to eat 300 more calories/day than when you were pregnant! This seems like a lot to me!
So, what are you ladies eating throughout the day? Are you eating 300 more calories/day than when you were pregnant?
Re: What are you ladies eating?
I didn't eat much for weeks after DS was born, I had zero appetite starting the day he was born and lasting at least a month, maybe two. I wasn't starving myself but I definitely wasn't eating a lot, and no way was I eating 300 calories more. My supply was good.
300 calories is less than you might think, though. It's really only a snack.
