My birth story (PIP)

I had a scheduled repeat c/s, so no exciting labor story here. I went in at 9:30 am on 7/19, and Eden was born at 12:23 pm. 8 lbs, 13 oz, 21 inches.

I will say that this c/s experience was a lot different than the last. With DD #1, I was in labor for 22 hours, and although it wasn't an emergency it was going in that direction. While being prepped, all I could think about was hoping DD was okay. Although the recovery sucked, I was just thankful that both of us were okay.

This time, I had plenty of time to think about the procedure and worry about things going wrong. I was crying when they first started b/c of my nerves. When she came out, it was kind of surreal, but it wasn't like that the first time for some reason. I did research the options ahead of time and decide that a repeat c/s was the best option for me, so I don't really have regrets.

The recovery is a little easier this time, although I tried to go off meds too early and definitely felt the effects of that.
